Kate Hudson for Jimmy Choo AW15
Jimmy Choo is excited to announce that Kate Hudson is the face of their Autumn Winter 2015 campaign. Kate shared an exclusive interview and photo diary with some of the brand new Jimmy Choo shoes and bags from the latest collection. The new Jimmy Choo range is ballet-inspired and since Kate is an experienced ballet dancer, she shares with the brand how she translates the ballet dancer discipline into her acting career and more, all while showcasing the new shoes.
For the campaign shots, Kate models the gorgeous red Lilyth shoes (which are simply stunning!) as well as the embellished Keri boots and the Dayno, along with numerous other styles including sunglasses and bags. It’s a fantastic look at the new shoes and I adore the styling as well, I think they really captured the essence of ballet. You can see the campaign and interview on the Jimmy Choo website and watch the campaign video below. If you want to check out a couple of the interview questions about the collection too, you can see them just below! What do you think of Kate Hudson for Jimmy Choo? Let Fashion Runway Blog know!
The Autumn Winter Jimmy Choo collection is inspired by ballet – how does the discipline affect your approach to fitness?
I grew up dancing. My mom put me in dance classes since I was three years old and I did ballet up until 12 before she allowed me to take more types of dance, like lyrical. I wasn’t allowed to skip class; I just knew I had to go. If you have that kind of discipline as a kid it sort of translates to everything. Dancing really connected me to my body in terms of understanding what my body needs. The beautiful thing about dance is you have this intense discipline and once you have that foundation, you can feel free and let go. It applies to everything, even acting – you rehearse and get connected to the character in order to let go and get inside who that person is.
What is your favourite Jimmy Choo style from the Jimmy Choo shoot today?
I think my favourite look was the pink velvet ballet heels with the big skirt we shot in the window. The whole look had a vintage Oscar de la Renta vibe to it; it was so ethereal and relaxed. Those shoes are beautiful and the colour of the shoes made the black dress feel so special.
